Engagement to Inform the Work of the Ministerial Committee on Anti-Racism

Overview

Recognizing the systemic and persistent nature of racism, the Ministerial Committee on Anti-Racism is working towards a diverse, inclusive, and equitable society that is void of racism and discrimination.

The Ministerial Committee on Anti-Racism has a mandate to learn about and seek solutions to racism in Newfoundland and Labrador and is comprised of the Minister of Immigration, Population Growth and Skills; Minister Responsible for Indigenous Affairs and Reconciliation; Minister of Education; and Minister of Justice and Public Safety.

The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador is requesting input, as we collectively work together to seek solutions to longstanding and emerging issues related to racism. How will your input be used?

The information we receive will be reviewed by the Departments of Immigration, Population Growth and Skills; Indigenous Affairs and Reconciliation; Justice and Public Safety; and Education. All feedback will be considered as the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador builds an Anti-Racism Strategy.

All submissions to the Committee are subject to and may be released in accordance with the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act, 2015. Therefore, it is recommended that you do not include personal information with your submission.

The collection of information is done under the authority of section 61(c) of the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act, 2015, for the purpose of collecting public feedback on the Anti-Racism Strategy. 

Any personal information that may be received will be governed in accordance with the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act, 2015 and will only be used for the purpose of informing participants of public engagement results at the end of the process.
