Budget 2023

Overview

The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador has recently improved its credit ratings, which is a strong signal that it is moving in the right direction with its plan to meet the target of a surplus position by 2026-27, modernize government, pay down expensive debt, lower the cost of borrowing, and contribute to the new Future Fund.

We invite you to share your views with us as we prepare for Budget 2023.

Specifically, we would like to hear about your priorities and gauge your support for various measures to reduce the deficit and provincial debt. We have included an interactive budget planner so you can show us how you would like to allocate budget spending.

We must continue on our path to achieve a stronger, more sustainable Newfoundland and Labrador. Our partners include you, the people of this province, our labour force, businesses, community groups, support organizations, municipalities, and the federal government. It works best if we are all engaged and involved.
