Overview

As part of actions committed to in The Way Forward with Community, the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador is evaluating Phase One of One Window, Multi-Year Funding.

This process will include consultations with both existing one-window, multi-year funding recipients and organizations that are not currently receiving one window, multi-year funding.

Community organizations are encouraged to complete this questionnaire to provide their feedback and suggestions for multi-year funding.

Background

Throughout the development of The Way Forward with Community: A Sector Work Plan to Advance the Social and Economic Contribution of Community Organizations, released in April 2019, community representatives noted multi-year funding as being critical to the sector's capacity to plan beyond the short term, attract and retain employees, and enter into longer-term operational contracts at lower cost.

In The Way Forward, the Provincial Government committed to implementing a strategic one window, multi-year approach to community funding. This one-window, multi-year funding delivers funding for three years, up to $20 million maximum per year in total, to 22 selected community groups.

In April 2018, 22 community groups, representing a broad cross-section of society, were selected to participate in Phase One of one-window, multi-year funding. Each group has one point of access with the Provincial Government in the administration of their multi-year funding.  Click here to view the News Release.

As part of the evaluation of Phase One of One-Window, Multi-Year Funding, the Provincial Government is seeking feedback from community sector organizations in Newfoundland and Labrador. The Provincial Government understands the importance of multi-year funding to community sector organizations. As with any public sector initiative, an evaluation must be carried out to responsibly inform future program decisions.
